At the end of the 2018 calendar year, British Columbia will get a late Christmas present in the World Juniors. The annual international under-20 hockey tournament will be hosted in Vancouver and Victoria starting on Boxing Day. In an effort to ignite the provinces youth about the tournament, the World Junior Trophy is touring through the province and today was in Prince George.  St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart schools got the treat of checking out the shiny trophy and spending time with BC Hockey’s mascot, Celly. The day was attended by the pair of schools as well as players from both the Cariboo Cougars and the Northern Capitals. It was a chance for students to get excited about the tournament and the sport in general.
