Thanksgiving Highway Driving

PRINCE GEORGE – Many sections of the highways around the province are experiencing winter-like conditions. If you’re planning a road trip for the upcoming long weekend, RCMP are asking drivers to be prepared as you may encounter ice, snow and slippery highways. Checking the weather forecast before heading out onto the highway and give yourself plenty of time to travel is also recommended. As of October 1, drivers are required to use winter tires on many B.C. highways, including Northern B.C.
