Labour Force Stats For September

PRINCE GEORGE – The September labour force numbers are in from StatsCan on the local labour force.
The national unemployment rate is 5.9% and the provincial level is 4.2%. Locally the unemployment rate is 4.9%. There were 49-thousand people working in this community with the population holding steady at 72-thousand,700 people. The workforce dropped by 14-hundred people from August 2018, but that is not a surprise to Stan Mitchell with KPMG, with students going back to school.
