Police Searching For Attempted Robbery Suspect

PRINCE GEORGE – Local RCMP are looking for a suspect after an attempted robbery occurred Monday morning on 17th Avenue.

One of two men that were found by police at the intersection of 17th Avenue and Larch Street was suffering from a head injury. Investigators say a masked man approached the two men and demanded their phones. When they refused, he struck one of them on the head with what was believed to be a hammer and fled on foot after.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man, 20 to 30 years old, wearing a red jacket, loose black pants, and a mask covering his face.

The victim was sent to the hospital for treatment and released.
