PRINCE GEORGE – Enbridge says it will maintain a one-kilometre security zone around the site of an explosion along its pipeline just north of the city. The company says in a statement the zone will remain in place to ensure public safety and the integrity of an investigation into the cause of Tuesday’s fiery blast. Teams of investigators from the company, National Energy Board and the Transportation Safety Board are all at the blast site, which the N-E-B’s chief engineer described as a crater and a burn area of about 400 metres. He says Enbridge records indicate its most recent inspection was last year.
