Coffee With Candidates
PRINCE GEORGE – Ten out of eleven School Board Candidates enjoyed a cup of coffee and some company at the Prince George Library on Sunday.
The Coffee with Candidates event was to give the community the opportunity to ask any questions they had and get to know each and every one of the candidates. Chief Librarian, Janet Marren says they’ve put on a few events for the Municipal candidates but this is the first time they have done this event for the School Board Trustees.
“We observed that really the school trustees are not getting the same exposure as the municipal candidates so we wanted to get them some exposure,” says Marren.
“We have eleven candidates running for our school board and we only have five school board trustee positions. So it’s really important that everybody in the community gets a chance to know who’s running, why they are running and who would be their best choice as a candidate for the school board,” she adds.
