Cadets Prepare for Remembrance Day

PRINCE GEORGE – This Sunday and Monday, CKPG will be observing Remembrance Day through telling the stories of how some locals observe Remembrance Day. Our CKPG news special “We Remember” includes the story of a couple of young cadets, each with a common mission and each with a story to tell.

Acting Regiment Sgt. Major Blaise Feltis says he’s a cadet because it runs in the family, “my great grandfather was in the military, he fought in Vimy Ridge in World War One and all that so I kinda wanted to follow in his footsteps I suppose I’ve always been a military guy.”

“I wanted to be a cadet, I guess I’ve always had an interest in the military and I have relatives that were in the military, and a cousin who was a cadet so I thought I would check it out and it was pretty cool,” says Sgt. Tyra Dauvin.

For more on the story of the young cadets preparing to march in this year’s Remembrance Day parade, along with the story of a local Silver Cross mother and memories from a local veteran, join us for “We Remember”.

The CKPG news special airs Remembrance Day, Sunday, November 11th, at noon, 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. And then again Monday, November 12th at noon, 5:00, 6:30 and 11:00 pm.
