CKPG Pioneer Passes Away

PRINCE GEORGE — One of the early pioneers of CKPG has died.
Bob Elphicke passed away October 26 in Parksville on Vancouver Island at the age of 75.
Bob was the lone son of the founding member of CKPG, Cecil Elphicke, and performed numerous roles in CKPG’s early days, including TV on-air personality, salesperson and DJ.
Among his many duties was calling Prince George Mohawks games.
In later years, Bob carried on his career in Alberta in sports before moving to Parksville in 1986.
