PRINCE GEORGE — A teenage girl was sent to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a pickup truck this (Nov.15) morning.

Prince George RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass says it happened just after 7 a.m. at the intersection of 15th Avenue and Carney Street.

“The investigation has determined that the adult male driver of a pickup truck travelling southbound on Carney Street began turning left (eastbound) onto 15th Avenue when he struck a pedestrian in the crosswalk. The driver immediately stopped and called 9-1-1.”

He says the driver of the pickup was given a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian.
