Strongly Worded Letters From Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE – Although Canadians may not be directly affected by the decision to appoint Brett Kavanaugh to the US Supreme Court, a group of Prince George residents have some concerns. 

On Saturday, the artspace above Books and Company was taken over by a letter writing event hosted by Erin Bauman. The purpose of the event was to write letters to the members of the Supreme Court and to the Supreme Court itself explaining that they don’t agree with the Court’s decision.

The second letter composed is being sent to Christine Ford, letting her know they appreciated her coming forward and that they stand with her. 

“I think it’s really important for everyone to speak out. And ya I mean we are in Canada but we’re in very close proximity to the US and I think the two countries do model a lot of their political and social systems after one and other so it’s important that we let them know that we don’t agree with this,” says Bauman.
