Prolific Criminal Taken In Following Multi-Vehicle Accident

PRINCE GEORGE — UPDATE: Police say a well-known criminal has been arrested following a multi-vehicle collision this afternoon. Reports of a stolen vehicle came in shortly after the noon hour. A short time later police located the vehicle and the suspect fled at high speeds. “We were able to maintain surveillance on it without pursuing it down to the area of Ewert and 15th, once we had heavier police presence we attempted to box the vehicle in, at which time it came over a median, it struck a civilian vehicle and head on with an unmarked police vehicle,” said Superintendent Warren Brown. No serious injuries have been reported. Brown says it’s estimated 15th Avenue between Ewert and Freeman will reopen in an hour. “The suspect is very well known to us and our streets are much safer with him in jail.” 

ORIGINAL STORY: A head-on collision between two pick-up trucks, and at least two other vehicles, one being a police truck has left 15th Avenue between Ewert and Irwin closed.
