Kettle Campaign Wraps Up

It was the final push this afternoon for the Salvation Army kettle campaign, and while shoppers were out purchasing last minute gifts, it hoped to gather more donations. The campaign wrapped up today, and as of Thursday, the goal of 250 thousand dollars was well in the distance.
At last count the total sat at just over 186 thousand, with three days to count. The Sally Ann relies on the annual contributions to run programs to help the less fortunate year round, and Christmas is the big fundraiser for the organization. The kettle campaign allows the Sally Ann to help individuals and families with basic necessities of life, such as food, clothing and shelter and hopefully a way out of poverty.
