PRINCE GEORGE – The explosion of an Enbridge pipeline in October was part of the discussion during a panel at the Natural Resources Forum this week.
On October 6th, a 36-inch pipeline exploded north of Prince George. The explosion disrupted the flow of natural gas to all of the Lower Mainland and into the United States for several months.
The impact of that was part of a panel on the future of energy. It was hailed as a reminder of how significant the natural gas network is and how fragile it can be. But, as the President and CEO of Petronas Canada says, it’s also a rarity.
