Coldsnap Winter Music Festival Underway

PRINCE GEORGE- The Coldsnap Winter Music Festival is currently ongoing until February 2nd. This year’s event features free ice jams and workshops that take place throughout various venues in the community. Big Little Lions kicked off the first Ice jam of this year’s Coldsnap winter music festival. Helen Austin and Paul Otten make up the award-winning duo and oddly enough, the two live on opposite sides of North America.

Paul lives in Cincinnati Ohio and Helen lives on Vancouver Island. Despite the distance between them the duo always stays in touch and work on their music which won them a JUNO award in 2014.

Big Little Lions type of music and interaction with the audience is exactly what the ice jams and Coldsnap festival are all about. Ice jams are free informal music sessions where the audience is able to interact with musicians in their performances and partake in Q and A conversations.
