Significant Snowfall Expected Over Weekend

PRINCE GEORGE – Environment Canada is predicting that upwards of 20 centimetres of new snow to fall between Thursday and Saturday.

Two weather systems are moving in from different directions. The first system is expected to move through Thursday and will bring  2-4 centimetres based on Environment Canada’s weather model. Friday and Saturday will see an increased amount of snow with an expected 20 centimetres coming down over the two days.

City crews are standing by to deal with significant snowfall but remind road users to plan earlier than normal departures from their homes or workplaces to avoid problems on the roads.
