St. Vincent de Paul Society Receives Donation From Four Rivers Co-op
PRINCE GEORGE – Through its Community Support Fund, Four Rivers Co-op has donated $18,000 to the St. Vincent de Paul Society. The money will go towards completing renovations and upgrades to their drop-in centre including the replacement of kitchen countertops and flooring in order to meet food safe health standards. The St. Vincent de Paul Society is one of 10 organizations to receive funding from Co-op’s Community Fund in 2018.
“We are thrilled and grateful for this generous donation from Four Rivers Co-op,” said Lisa Weber, President of St. Vincent de Paul Society. “Special funding of this nature allows the Society to focus on providing services to those in need and using our general donations for purchasing food and other basic items.”
“Helping an organization that directly works toward improving the quality of life of hundreds of people in need is one that Four Rivers Co-op is proud to stand behind,” said Bud Pye, President of the Board of Directors of Four Rivers Co-op.
“We are thrilled to be able to support a wide range of causes through our 2018 Community Support Fund including seniors and youth groups, community organizations and social programs,” said Allan Bieganski, General Manager for Four Rivers Co-op. “We are very happy to be able to support our communities, and are ecstatic to announce that the St. Vincent de Paul Society is one of ten recipients for 2018.”
