PRINCE GEORGE- The UNBC athletics teams collected bottles and cans on Saturday as part of the third annual fill the bus bottle drive. They are doing the bottle drive to assist Kayla Young, a 17-year-old Kelly Road Secondary School student currently battling cancer and Pediatric Cancer Research.

The 17-year-old rugby player has been battling leukaemia for over a year and the bottles and cans collected will go to support her and her family in a variety of ways.

The other half of the funds will be going towards Pediatric Cancer Research. The overall goal of the month-long fundraiser is to raise $5,000 and the bottle drive usually raises between $2,000-$3,000.
