Heritage students give to kids

PRINCE GEORGE – It was a big day in the pedeatrics ward at University Hospital of Northen BC, as four Grades five and six students from Heritage Elementary came for a visit and did so bearing gifts.
“At the beginning of our school year, the leadership group at our school decided we want to help out three groups,” explains Taylor, a grade six student at Heritage.
They made pinatas and put together goodie bags, with the support of generous donations from local businesses.
“We started off with a small project, a pinata, just to see if it would work,” says Madison.
The managed to fit in a couple of fundraisers, one of which was “Guess howe many candies are in the candy jar?
