42nd Home and Garden Show has arrived
PRINCE GEORGE – Over a hundred vendors were scrambling to get their displays set up for a busy weekend. It’s the 42nd annual Home and Garden Show hosted by the Northern BC Branch of the Canadian Home Builders Association.
And the event is not just geared to those who are handy with a hammer. There is an opportunity to win a she-shed and events for kids, too.
“On Saturday, we have Recycling 101 with REAPS, and for a couple of hours in the afternoon, we’re going to be making fairy doors,” explains Terri McConnachie, event organizer and Executive Director for the local Homebuilders Association. “Kids can glue-gun moss and little diamonds and colour it and everything to put their gardens for the fairies to get in and out.”
Admission for adults is $8, seniors and students (with I.D.) get in for $6 and kids under 12 get in for free. Doors opened at 3 p.m. this afternoon until 8 p.m. They will open again at 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings, closing at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
