Two missing in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE —Update: The Williams Lake RCMP say the two missing persons have been located.

Today, Insp. Scott Pelley with Williams Lake RCMP released the following statement:

“Please note: The two missing persons, Trudy Stonechild and John Tresierra, have now been located safe and sound. The Williams Lake RCMP would like to thank the Community of Williams Lake; especially the volunteers of the Central Cariboo Search and Rescue. The search for the pair was extensive and included; as mentioned, Central Cariboo Search and Rescue, BC Conservation Officers Service, RCMP Air Services Helicopter, Prince George Police Dog Services and all Units within the Williams Lake RCMP Detachment.”

Earlier: Mounties are seeking the public’s help in locating two missing people.

Williams Lake RCMP Insp. Jeff Pelley says today (June 4), the family of 29-year-old Trudy Stonechild reported her missing.

John Tressierra

Pelley says she is possibly with a male associate, 34-year-old John Tressierra.

“Family and the Williams Lake RCMP are searching for the two individuals to ensure their well-being,” he says.

Tressierra is described as having a dark complexion, five foot eight, 140 pounds with short brown hair.

Trudy Stonechild

Stonechild is described as an Indigenous woman, five foot four, 125 pounds with medium length brown hair.
