Charging stations coming

PRINCE GEORGE – BC Hydro has released the results of a survey with respect to electric vehicles. It found that, while BC has the highest number of sales, “… close to 70 per cent of British Columbians are hesitant to purchase an EV because they do not think it can be taken on out-of-town road trips.'”

Another concern is the lack of charging stations, something BC Hydro says will change soon, particularly the Level Three, or fast-changing, stations.

“Those are concentrated heavily in the Southern part of the province. But the good news is, they’re coming this way,” says Bob Gammer with BC Hydro. “We will see Level Three network built up to Prince George by the Fall of this year and then by the Fall of next year, all the way out to Prince Rupert and Haida Gwaii.”
