Active Transportation Plan looks to improve connections across Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — Getting around Prince George without relying on a vehicle can be a challenge, but a recently accepted city plan lays out a long-term vision for making walking, cycling and other forms of active transportation more accessible.
Prince George city council accepted the Active Transportation Plan last month. The comprehensive plan focuses on connecting, integrating, enabling and encouraging active transportation across a community that covers roughly 319 square kilometres.
For local cycling enthusiast Kyle Ross, the breadth of the plan is one of its strengths.
