PRINCE GEORGE – Invited guests got a sampling of the food that will be happening at Summerfest this year, which takes place July 14th, starting in Canada Games Plaza.

“We certainly love to feature our downtown restaurants, but this year, we are enjoying the participation of other restaurants in Prince George,” says Colleen Van Mook, Executive Director with Downtown Prince George. “We’re looking at 26 [food vendors] this year.”

There will be the usual suspects at this year’s event as well as plenty of new events. “This year we have some roving entertainment and we have the Hockey Circus Show with PAZ,” she explains. “So he’s going to come and do amazing tricks and really promote the great hockey spirit that we have in Prince George. And we’re looking forward to sharing some excitement with the Prince George Spruce Kings because of the great show they put on for the community this year with the championship.”

Events get underway on Sunday July 14th from 11am to 5pm at Canada Games Plaza.
