Is there an end to the rainy weather? Environment Canada says yes
PRINCE GEORGE–Has the rain got you down? If it does, we’ve got some words of encouragement. It won’t be that much longer until we can enjoy some California-style, vitamin D.
According to Environment Canada’s Meteorologist, Bobby Sekhon, the months of June and July Prince George have seen less precipitation than normal. The average monthly precipitation for July is 62 mm of rain and currently we are just over a third of the way there with 23 mm.
The good news is that Sekhon believes that the weather into August and early September will be above average…#laketime!
This isn’t the first July to see drier temperatures, as past recent ones have been quite dry as well. The dryness can be attributed to “blocking patterns,” which Sekhon says have pushed high ridge pressure systems into north and south BC, leaving the north central area in a bit of a dry spell.
