If you live in College Heights your water may be shut off today
PRINCE GEORGE–Your water may have been shut off today or will be in the near future if you live in College Heights.
The city has began construction along Eton Avenue to fix several faulty valves on the City’s water system. Construction will occur on the following streets where they intersect with Eton Avenue: Simon Fraser Avenue, Dalhousie Drive, Laval Place, Notre Dame Drive, York Place and Cambridge Road.
Construction is expected to last from July 16-19 between the hours of 7 am to 5 pm and will be completed in two phases which are expected to be finished in one to two days each.
The bus stop at the North College Park Tennis Courts on Laval Place and Eton Avenue will be closed for the duration of the operation, with a transit detour running on north Simon Fraser Avenue and continuing south on McGill Avenue. The valves are being replaced after it was identified that there were several faulty valves believed to have been installed in 1980.
