Islamic community invite residents to a festival

PRINCE GEORGE – The past few days, close to 400 members of the Islamic community in Prince George are celebrating an annual four-day religious celebration.

Each year millions of Muslims around the world engage in special prayers and invite friends outside of their community to join them to pray and sit and eat food together.

Mostafa Mohammad is a member of the Prince George Islamic Centre, he and others of the Islamic faith are encouraged to invite people outside of their faith and share their culture.

According to Mohammad inviting the outside community to celebrations is important to help build a better community.
