RCMP investigate possible drug trade stabbing

RCMP responded to a stabbing around 3rd Ave. and George St. on Sunday (Aug. 18) at around 11 PM. The suspect is believed to have fled on a bike, and has not been arrested by police. RCMP believe the attack was targeted and related to the drug trade.

Structure fire estimated at $150,000 in damages

Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire on the 8000 block of Sabyam road at around noon Monday (Aug.19.) Crews discovered smoke coming from a single family dwelling. The flames were put out promptly, however the estimated damage of the fire is $150,000.

Prince George institution, George “The Barber” leaves legacy behind

George “The Barber” passed away at the age of 81. The barber shop owner had cut hair in Prince George since he moved to the city from Greece in 1962. The Barber was said to have touched many lives throughout his time in the city.

Police make arrest, recover over 50K in stolen items

A 57-year-old man was arrested on Friday (Aug.16) in connection to $50,000 worth of stolen items. Some of the items included tools, vehicle parts, pet supplies, lawn mowers, a generator, and vehicle tires and rims.

Missing boy located safe and sound

The four-year-old boy that went missing in Mackenzie was located and found safe Sunday afternoon. The boy was missing for over 24 hours, and went missing while his mother was picking berries in the Lion Lake area.
