Record-breaking year for Wheelin’ Warriors

PRINCE GEORGE – $207,000 and counting.
That’s how much the Wheelin’ Warriors of the North raised during this weekend’s Ride to Conquer Cancer. All the money raised will go directly to the BC Cancer Agency’s Centre for the North.
Karen Piche started the Wheeling Warriors in 2013 in support of a friend who had melanoma and, in its first year, there were 35 riders. This weekend, that number of riders jumped to 81 and Piche says she willkeep pushing for more riders.
With this latest fund raising ride, a record-breaker, the Wheelin’ Warriors are jujst shy of the million-dollar mark, which they will blow past next year.
