Councillor Murry Krause received a Sovereign’s Medal in Victoria yesterday (Sept.5th.) The medal is given to those Canadians that show exceptional volunteer achievements in a wide range of fields.
A black bear chased a man into Ferguson Lake on Wednesday, September 4th. The bear followed him into the lake, pushing the man underwater three times, before it was distracted by a dog and ran off. The man received minor injuries.
The Red Dress flag was raised at Mr. PG for the fourth year in a row. The flag is raised in memory of the missing and murdered Indigenous women along the Highway of Tears and throughout BC.
A parkour gym is set to open next weekend, one of the first in northern BC. The gym will target a large audience, from beginners to those seasoned in the sport.
