San Fran Striker Sofia Earns Weekly All-Star Nod

After a 3-0 win on Saturday where UNBC Timberwolf striker Sofia Jones scored a pair of the goals, it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that she’s been recognized by the league. The San Francisco, California forward has earned CanWest Women’s Third Star after potting one goal just ten minutes into the game on Saturday and then scoring another in the 85th minute to double the T-Wolves lead. Jones also notched an assist during Thursday’s game to bring her point total to three during the first two games of the UNBC season. The third-year Computer Science student joined UNBC prior to last season after playing a year at City College of San Francisco.
