PRINCE GEORGE — The Province is looking for your feedback on how best to encourage farming and protect farmland throughout BC, through a series of public engagement sessions.

A meeting is set for Prince George tomorrow (Thursday ) from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Coast Inn of the North.

You’re encouraged to share your insights and opinions on how to best address the following challenges:

  • supporting farmers and ranchers in the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) to expand and diversify businesses
  • helping new or young farmers become established on the land and in business
  • ensuring there is flexibility for residential options while prioritizing agriculture in the ALR
