Downtown business owner cautiously optimistic as Conservatives outline public-safety plan
PRINCE GEORGE – For years, Nancy O’s has been a fixture in downtown Prince George. But owner Eoin Foley says operating a downtown business over the past decade has increasingly meant dealing with problems that have little to do with serving customers.
“It’s frustrating to see, you know, street disorder all the time. Break-ins, having staff deal with people coming in that they shouldn’t have to deal with, and the feeling of uncertainty,” said Foley, who is also a member of Save Our Streets.
He says those concerns extend beyond his own business to frontline and retail workers throughout the community.
