25-year-old time capsule unveiled at CNC

PRINCE GEORGE–Students and staff at the CNC were taken back in time today as they unveiled a 25-year-old time capsule.

Former CNC president Dr. Terry Weninger along with current president Dr. Dennis Johnson unveiled the first of many memorabilia from 1994. The capsule included a scroll with messages from students and faculty at that time, wishing the students now, a happy 50th year, several publications including the Prince George Citizen, Free Press, CNC enrolment facts a test tube with water from the Nechako River and much more.

“I’m pleased I was able to return to CNC for the opening of the time capsule,” said Dr. Weninger. “It’s a snapshot of CNC 25 years ago. Opening it is an occasion for optimism as we highlight CNC’s importance in the region and acknowledge the resilience and creativity needed to deliver on the College’s mandate.”
