Special weather statement issued for Prince George

A special weather statement was issued for Prince George and the surrounding area on Sunday morning.

An arctic front pushed through the central interior Saturday night, bringing cold air to the region.

Freezing rain or ice pellets are expected to develop over the Bulkley Valley and the Lakes, Prince George and Cariboo regions Monday afternoon and last through Monday evening.

Freezing rain and ice pellets will likely spread to other regions of the central interior on Monday night.

Residents are reminded to drive with caution.
