PRINCE GEORGE — Talks are set to resume today at UNBC on day six of the faculty strike.

“We call on the Board to direct their bargaining team to bring proposals that strengthen the role of faculty in governance,” reads a statement from the UNBC Faculty Association (FA).

The union says 350 members of the FA have been joined on the picket line by their colleagues from CUPE 3799, CUPE 2278, and Unite Here! Local 40, as well as supporters from the BC Teachers Federation and other faculty associations around the country.

The strike was prompted by a number of differences including wage parity among instructors.
