PRINCE GEORGE– The Cariboo Cougars clobbered the North Island Silvertips 5-1 yesterday in Nanaimo. Yesterday’s victory followed a 3-3 tie between the Cougars and Silvertips on Saturday. The Cougars (12-4-1-1) move into third place in the league , one point ahead of the Fraser Valley Thunderbirds (12-5-0-1). The Cougars host the Valley West Giants this weekend . The puck drops at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
