Handgun, ammunition, cocaine and meth seized in major drug bust

PRINCE GEORGE — Two people could be facing charges following a pair of drug busts in Prince George.

Prince George RCMP say the busts were made last week (Nov.21) at a residence on Garvin Street while another was made on the 2900 block of 15th Avenue.

More than a kilogram of cocaine and methamphetamine was seized, along with a handgun, ammunition and a large amount of cash.

A 28-year-old man and a 34-year-old man were arrested with the assistance of the North District’s Emergency Response Team and the Prince George RCMP’s Police Dog Service.

Police say both suspects were released without charge pending the completion of an investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
