PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Mounties are investigating a pedestrian involved collision that occurred yesterday (Dec.2) afternoon at the intersection of Highway 97 and Highway 16.
“Frontline officers and other emergency services attended the scene,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “A 49-year-old male pedestrian was found suffering from serious injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
He says evidence from the scene along with multiple witness accounts indicate that the driver of an SUV-style vehicle was traveling west bound on Highway 16 on a green light at the time of the collision.
Douglass says the investigation is ongoing.
