Gammer not reporting to Spruce Kings

The Spruce Kings announced this morning that recent acquisition Brett Gammer would not be reporting to the club following their trade on Saturday with the Battleford North Stars. According to a press release sent out by the team, Gammer has decided to instead go play hockey at Liberty University in the states where his brother plays. The trade will now be for Future Considerations, so the Spruce Kings will get an asset at some point, but obviously doesn’t help them at this very moment. The club will be back on the ice Thursday when they continue their 5 game home-stand against the Chilliwack Chiefs.
