Former Cougar tallies point in NHL debut

WINNIPEG, MB – Jansen Harkins made his NHL debut with the Winnipeg Jets, recording an assist in their 6-0 win over the Minnesota Wild in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Harkins was a member of the Prince George Cougars, playing from 2013 through until 2017.

Harkins was called up by the Jets on Friday after serving much of the season with the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League (AHL).

In 30 games with the Moose this season, Harkins is their leading scorer with 31 points; seven goals and 24 assists. He was also named the AHL Play of the Month for November.
