JASPER, AB — A teenage girl from Vancouver is dead after a two vehicle crash near Alberta’s Jasper National Park.
The collision happened Sunday afternoon on Highway 16 — about 10 kilometres west of the Jasper townsite.
Police say a Toyota Sienna minivan from Prince George with six people inside was heading east when it collided with a westbound Nissan Maxima that may have lost control in icy conditions.
The girl inside the Nissan was killed while the woman behind the wheel was airlifted to hospital in Edmonton.
