Area’s of the Cariboo ring in New Year without power

CARIBOO– Areas in the Cariboo ringing in the New Year without power, with some residents waking up to darkness.

According to The BC Hydro website, as of an update at 8:30 a.m., Jan.1, there were 28 outages and 3,561 customers being affected due to what BC Hydro says was heavy overnight snowfall throughout various areas in the province.

Most of the outages in the Cariboo region have been assigned crews to work on restoring power to customers.
