PG Fire Rescue kept busy, no specific cause for stretch of structure fires

PRINCE GEORGE–There have been several structure fires over the past few weeks in the City, and Prince George Fire Rescue has been kept quite busy, but when asked if there is a reason for the stretch of fires we have seen, PG Fire Rescue says that there doesn’t seem to be a specific cause.

According to Prince George Rescue Fire Chief, John Iverson, most recent fires have been accidental but he can’t pinpoint a correlation between the fires.

Total structure fires between April 1st and May 12:

• Residential Single Family: 4
• Multi-Family: 2
• Commercial Building: 1
• Outbuilding: 2
