Blackwater Mines moving forward

VANDERHOOF – Some more good news for the community of Vanderhoof.

New Gold has sold the Blackwater mine to Artemis Gold, Inc.

“We were so excited in 2012 when New Gold was doing so much exploration out there,” says Mayor Gerry Thiessen. “And then, all of a sudden, they got involved with the project in Ontario. Not sure what happened there, but things didn’t go as they expected.”

In a letter dated June 9, Artemis announced that “… while it considers the 2014 Feasibility Study to be current, it plans to prepare an updated Pre-Feasibility study based on our revised approach to developing the project over the next three months and will file a technical report within 180 days of this announcement of mineral resources and mineral reserves.”
