PRINCE GEORGE — Just a day after launching his campaign for the BC Ecosocialist group, Stuart Parker has resigned as interim leader of the party.

The move follows allegations Parker made transphobic comments, prompting a response by the party itself. In a tweet the party wrote, “The BC Ecosocialist Party affirms that Trans Rights are Human Rights. Our interim leader Stuart Parker has stepped down. We will release a further statement tomorrow.”
