Junior teams excited to have arenas re-open

The home of the Prince George Spruce Kings and the Prince George Cougars will re-open later this month and both teams are ecstatic with the news.

“I know the players are very excited,” stated Spruce Kings Business Operations Manager Kyle Anderson.

The Kings kicked off their training camp last week, but they’ve been forced to start camp at Kin 2.

Meanwhile, despite not knowing when the season is going to start the Cougars are happy with the news. Not just for them, but for all of the on ice user groups in the city.

“It’s pretty hard to get out during winter time, so I think it is vital to have the arenas open,” explained Vice President of Business for the Cougars Andy Beesley.

The ice will be put in over the next few weeks and will be ready for the Kings first exhibition game at home on October 25.
