Oct 7, 2020 | 12:09 PM

PRINCE GEORGE—The Prince George Cougars are announcing their second Pro-D Day Hockey School.

Vice President of the Prince George Cougars, Andy Beesley says that their first round of camps, back in September, sold out fast and that they received a lot of positive feedback.

“We feel this next one offers great choices that appeals to all skill levels of minor hockey players in our community. We wanted to help fill the void the pandemic has created, and we look forward to continuing to offer a great resource for minor hockey players throughout the fall and winter season.”—Andy Beesley, Vice President, Prince George Cougars

The camps will include one-hour ice sessions for minor hockey players. Each $35 session will include a Cougars’ merchandise pack and a ticket voucher to a future Cougars’ regular season home game.

Ice sessions will be instructed by the Cougars’ coaching staff, led by General Manager and Head Coach, Mark Lamb. Lamb will be joined by Goaltending Coach Taylor Dakers (AHL & WHL alum), and Development Coach Steve O’Rourke (WHL & Pro alum).

A release by the Prince George Cougars says that their format for ice sessions has been revised, and three sessions of fun will be featured in the morning, with three-on-three scrimmages being open to any skill level. Elite-level ice sessions will take place in the afternoon, beginning at 12:30 p.m.; and a new age category has also been included for 11 and 12-year-olds.
