VICTORIA — The NDP is set to lead British Columbia with a strong majority that was confirmed last night when election officials wrapped up the final mail-in vote tally.
Elections B-C says the N-D-P won 57 seats, the Liberals 28 and the Greens two at final count.
One Liberal seat will undergo an automatic judicial recount because the margin was so tight.
West Vancouver-Sea to Sky was projected to go Green until incumbent Liberal candidate Jordan Sturdy pulled ahead by 41 votes this weekend.

The vote count confirmed Shirley Bond won Prince George-Valemount with 9,703 votes, or 55.62 per cent of the votes. The NDP’s Laura Parent was second with 4,717 votes, or 27.04 per cent of votes cast. Mackenzie Kerr of the BC Greens picked up 2,597 votes, or 14.89 per cent of the vote and Sean Robson of the BC Libertarian Party had 428 votes, or 2.45 per cent of the vote.

Over in Prince George-Mackenzie, Mike Morris won the riding with 8,543 votes, or 50.80 per cent of the vote.

The NDP’s Joan Atkinson was second with 5,717, or 33.99 per cent. Catharine Kendall of the BC Greens came third with 1,935 votes, or 11.51 per cent, Dee Kranz of the Christian Heritage Party received 336 votes, or two per cent and Raymond Rodgers picked up 287 votes, or 1.71 per cent of the vote.
