Rollover crash west of Vanderhoof leaves two dead

PRINCE GEORGE – A single-vehicle rollover west of Prince George has claimed the lives of two just before 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Once emergency crews arrived on scene to find a vehicle overturned in a creek with two people inside.

The driver was rescued from the vehicle and taken to hospital for further treatment but later succumbed to their injuries. The only passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing and although causal factors have yet to be determined, RCMP say the roads were reported to be snow-covered and slippery at the time of the collision.
