Exploration Place hit by graffiti

PRINCE GEORGE – Just days after the Prince George Legion was hit, there is yet another victim of graffiti in the city.

The front windows of the Exploration Place covered by red spray paint, something CEO Tracy Calogheros says has never happened before.

Calogheros calls the vandalism disgusting and inconsiderate given the circumstances surrounding the museum which hasn’t been open since the pandemic started.

Luckily some scrubbing by staff and a chemical solution was used to remove most of the mess, only leaving traces behind on the wood and cement.

“What was done here is just disgusting,” says Calogheros.

The good news is that the incident was all caught on camera as RCMP begin their investigation, but the damage has already been done.

All the museum knows was that the culprit was a man, likely in his mid-20’s.
